Kate, I feel that you create a comfortable and safe space and make mindfulness less daunting and more accessible. I get nervous around teachers that are a little too pushy, too "woo-woo," or let their ego get in the way, so I appreciate your authenticity, humor, and compassion. I appreciate that you have your own personal mindfulness practice and that you share your own experiences. You are well studied and impart what you have learned while staying up on the research. You are a model of the practice of mindfulness for your students. Your guided meditations are calm, warm, loving, and hold a space where your students can explore empathy, stress relief, self-compassion, and resilience. I definitely had some aha moments in your classes. I still don’t have a regular, formal practice, but you definitely helped me learn to access things within myself that I was having trouble finding. I am able to be a lot calmer than I was and somehow learned how to protect my heart, which was just draining out of me while I was going through a very painful journey.

Student, High School Student
Kate works closely with POPS the Club, offering not only guidance and understanding to young people with loved ones in prison, but opening the hearts and minds of our leadership team. Kate co-created our mindfulness-based self-empowerment curriculum, and the accompanying training manual evidences her profound gifts as a writer, teacher, and artist. Each time she runs a workshop with our volunteers, she transforms lives. Kate Savage heals and invigorates.

Ms. Savage, with her knowledge of mindfulness, was a great teacher.

I love joining Kate’s morning mindfulness. It provides me with a great start to my workday and a breather midweek. Carrying on with that awareness of mind and body is so meaningful. Kate’s energy is an amazing guidance in this practice.

Kate has the natural gifts of a great mindfulness provider: a warm heart and genuine kindness added to her integrity and discipline.
